1. Acceptance

By using BuffettMungerGPT (“the site”) you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. What the site is

The site is a free, indexed corpus of public statements by Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, and other investors associated with Berkshire Hathaway and Daily Journal Corporation, plus tooling to search, browse, and analyze the corpus. Answers are generated by large language models grounded in the indexed source material.

3. Not investment advice

Nothing on this site is investment advice, financial advice, tax advice, or legal advice. Buffett, Munger, and the other individuals quoted are not affiliated with this site and have not endorsed any of its content. Quotes and excerpts are presented for educational and historical purposes. Do your own research and consult a licensed professional before making any investment decision.

4. AI-generated answers

When you ask a question, an AI model generates a synthesized answer from the relevant corpus excerpts. AI output can contain errors, omissions, or misattributions. Always verify direct-quote claims against the linked source. We are not liable for errors in AI-generated text.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to overwhelm or scrape the site at machine scale
• Bypass the rate-limit or other abuse-prevention mechanisms
• Submit content designed to elicit harmful AI output
• Reproduce site content (especially copyrighted source material) in ways that exceed fair use
• Use the site to defame or harass any person

6. Intellectual property

Source material (Berkshire shareholder letters, annual-meeting transcripts, interviews, books, articles, etc.) is owned by its respective authors and publishers. The site indexes and surfaces excerpts under fair-use principles for the purpose of search, education, and commentary. Each source links back to its original publisher when available.

The site's code, organization, design, and any aggregated datasets we built (position-history rows, holdings tables, etc.) are © Whitecliff Analytics and may not be republished without attribution.

7. Paid subscriptions (when offered)

The core site is free. We may offer optional paid tiers in the future — for example, a higher-quota or higher-quality Deep Research plan. If you subscribe to a paid plan:

• Billing is processed by Stripe. We never store your card details.
• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you retain access until then.
• Refunds: monthly plans are non-refundable; annual plans are refundable on a pro-rated basis within 30 days of the most recent renewal. Contact us with any billing concern and we'll work it out.
• We may change pricing on future renewals with at least 30 days' notice via email; your current period continues at the price you signed up at.
• Paid features are subject to the same disclaimers as the rest of the site (sections 3, 4, 8, 9 below). Buying a subscription does not change the fact that nothing here is investment advice.

8. Affiliate disclosure

Some pages — notably the Books page — contain affiliate links to Amazon Associates and Bookshop.org. We earn a small commission on qualifying purchases made through these links at no extra cost to you. This relationship does not influence which books we recommend; recommendations are drawn directly from what Buffett and Munger have publicly said.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate. Use is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will BuffettMungerGPT, its operator, or its service providers be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site. For free users, total aggregate liability is capped at $0. For paying subscribers, total aggregate liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the most recent 12 months.

11. Changes

We may revise these Terms as the site evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a revision constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
